Hmmmm. Possibly.

My limited experience suggested some town officials will get extra stupid in rough times. I am reminded of old sherif Harry Lee who turned hungry / thirsty Katrina survivors from the convention center around at his county (parish) line and said “**** you” and stay out of my jurisdiction. He also later said “if you come to Jefferson Parish, come with a gun because we can’t protect you”.

If things keep getting whacky, I would expect you’ll see some excessive responses from both federal and local officials.

This one is voluntary but a mayor has “asked” the town to stay home in New Jersey. That is only a short hop from enforced curfews...

I’m in Bergen county rite now for work. It’s a nuthouse. Our upper management told us not to leave here since it’s a quarantine area. We told him to come over and make us stay if we feel like going we are out. It’s a complete cluster

They didn’t ban the sale of guns nor ammo. Those were among a laundry list of things that “could” be banned under the emergency declaration. And considering just how stupid people have gotten it’s probably a good idea to have that option.

As I read it it says a “potential ban” their firearms And ammo sales will skyrocket just by putting the threat out there, Chicago is literally killing the rest of the folks in that state with all the BS that happens in that town.

I’ll say it here too. The corona virus is as good of a gun salesman as obamba was
Stopped in Scheels today to pick few things before turkey opens up and strolled through the gun/ammo section and saw empty shelves and folks buying guns left and right. Heard conversations with folks asking questions about the guns they were purchasing that should have had the associates refusing to sell them the gun.

It’s probably going to get “Western “ soon, a group of city folks drove over to our little country town this am, smashed into the local gun store and robbed it. Police are chasing them on foot about 65 miles away in a large military base town. I think this will be a frequently occurring problem as this virus progresses. No food, no money, some people will be animals, treat them appropriately ! Let the fools wait for the gubment to protect them !

Insane. A lot of the smaller towns around here had the city folk storm their stores and buy up all the TP, milk, cheese and eggs. I like to think Idaho has level headed people and common sense but time will tell...
