Marsupial Bino Harness Pistol Holster - Safety

I like to keep things simple. I use the same holster for everything. My IWB holster I use for daily wear slips nicely between my waist belt and the strap I use to tighten it. It also fits between me and my chest harness strap when I’m not wearing a back, but I just wear it like I would normally as an IWB holster.

Having a holster specifically for when I’m wearing a bino harness seems silly to me.

You’re using an IWB holster with a frame pack? Any pics?

It’s a pretty good design. I’m sure they did their homework when coming up with the design. They make well thought out products. As long as the trigger guard is covered a handgun won’t go off by itself. That’s like carrying AIWB and concerned you would shoot yourself.
Obviously I disagree. It’s a poor design that ignores the #1 rule of gun safety. I doubt they put much thought into it at all. If they did they’d probably have thought to at least angle it down so it’s not pointed at your buddy’s chest.

No, it really is not a good design. With a loaded handgun at (nearly) chest level and the barrel of the weapon parallel to the ground, the wearer of the holster literally "lazers" everyone who is unfortunate enough to be on the muzzle side of the weapon. While I don't want to be argumentative, I submit it's an unsafe practice to inadvertently point a loaded gun at anyone even though it might be in a passive condition (i.e. not in contact with the hand). Like I mentioned above, feel free to wear an IWB holster as long as the barrel of the firearm is perpendicular to the ground. Nobody cares if you shoot yourself in the groin, leg or foot. I only have concerns when a wearer is potentially endangering third parties. I love MG, but this holster would be a nonstarter for me or potential hunting companions.
