Hey guys im hoping some lone might be able to help me out here. Ive got a 1895 marlin 45-70 as my “bear gun”. I expect it to be reliable and i keep it clean but recently it jams everytime i try to cycle a round and if the round makes it into the chamber the lever wont close…I took it apart and polished anything that looked rough but it is still quite rough and jams.
I’ve included some pics as i couldn't put the video on. I think its the extractor but not sure if i can fix it or replace it.
Cheers!

Are you using factory loads?
Did you buy it used ?
What do you mean it’s still rough? What is rough?
The lever and the bolt should glide back and forth easily.
Make sure all the screws are tight to the loading gate, trigger plate, etc..
Have you checked the magazine tube, spring for binding, debris, worn out?
Is the extractor sitting in the receiver hole /slot correctly?
