Marlin 1894…. in 10mm

Cool, but what would be the advantage over one chambered in .41 or .44 mag?

John

So, I actually wasn't joking above when I mentioned thinking that they should do one for .40 and .45. And, honestly, 9mm.

The reason I'd personally enjoy lever guns in these cartridges, is that I have a ton of ammo for them from high-volume pistol shooting over the years, but no longer really shoot the .40 or .45. But...in a lever gun, they'd be fun as hell, and would be a great little game-getter. Especially suppressed.

Who is the end user?

The guy that wants one box of ammo for his grizz rifle and pistol on his dog sled?
Seems like an economical choice (other than initial firearm cost) with great ammo availability for straight-wall states.

I killed a slew of varmints growing up with my Win 94 trapper in .357 Mag. Wouldn’t hesitate to chase deer with it. Made a great kids rifle.

Sounds like my view of a Marlin model 60

I have an 1890 and 1887, but never owned a 63
My 63 is one of the Browning repops. Beautiful rifle. I’ve got 90s in 22 Short, 22 Long, and 22 WRF. The WRF was my grandfather’s whitetail poaching rifle. He kept his family fed with it during some hard times in the early 70s.

My LGS called yesterday to tell me they had one. Today they also had one because I now have it

I'm not sure when I'll get it to the range. But I after almost 29 years own a 10mm lever gun. I found a custom shop that long ago making them for way more than this.

As for what I'll do with it. I enjoy 10mm. So I'll shoot it. I live in wooded deer habitat so I'll probably sit a tree stand with it at some point. Also is so compact and handy, I'll probably use it to carry if I'm walking on a deer drive.
