So i recently bought a 85mm spotter so now i got to buy a beefier tripod. anybody have any experience with this ive tried searching for it on here and google but havent found much. im just wondering if it can handle an 85. i also know i hate ball heads and twist locks. the specific one im looking at is this cabelas link since id be able to use cabelas points for it. any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have one and really like it for a big spotter (85mm gen 2 vortex) mine is actually for sale here on the classifieds it’s the carbon with xpro2 fluid head. I sold my big spotter to get a kowa 554 and no longer need this size tripod is the only reason I am selling it. It super sturdy and smooth. I’ll answer any questions I can for ya regardless of whether your interested in mine.

I looked at this tripod briefly for the same reasons you are. I just couldnt get over the weight. But it was pretty solid. I'm still on the hunt for something with comparable strength with less weight.

Oh nice i got the 1st gen 85 razor so if you thought that worked well on there then thats What im looking for. Ill try to sell some thing's and if i come up with that amount before someone else buys yours ill be sire to message you. Otherwise thanks for the input and best of luck selling it

Yeah i thought it was pretty heavy also but figure id rather be sturdy then light and save a couple hundred bucks. But i also wouldnt doubt if i end up buying a light weight one in the future also
