Mamba mag issue

I got my 223 mamba mags in and love the build quality. I filed them down slowly, testing function until they worked great. My first day on the range with them I started having an issue where the back of the follower gets caught a bit and doesn't lift the back end of the round high enough for the bolt to push them forward to feed. I have had to disassemble to fix it each time. Any ideas on a fix? I'll get photos of the issue tomorrow.

Ironically, my 4rd and 6rd Tikka mags have all fed flawlessly for me.

Well… I have never had that issue with a Mamba magazine.

Mine have always fed flawlessly, but were very hard to fit in the rifle. I thought I needed to file them down to make them fit and started to do that, but fortunately someone on here told me to put a shim between my bottom metal and the stock. A pair of ten cent washers solved the seating problem. They are now easy to put in the rifle and still feed flawlessly.

Update:
Going back and forth between the two mags with dummy rounds and I can't recreate the issue lol

Finally was able to recreate it. Clearly the spring is caught somehow inside.

Ah so it looks like I can get it to fail on rounds 7-10 if I push the 10th round down when loading, like if I'm going to load another round or check to see if there's room for another. Pushing it down too far seems to get the spring stuck. Hitting it really hard releases it

@Formidilosus any ideas?

I haven’t seen any issues with the 40+ we have in a lot of use, but I would stretch the spring and put a drop of glue on it to hold it in place.
