Big bear. My guess would be female. Big rear end and short snout.

Love these threads. I always learn something about bear identification.

I'm in the I don't know camp because I'd like to have a better look at the front legs. But I'd lean toward a chunky female. Beautiful coloring and the fur is in great condition.

Sow. Back half has more mass than front half. Front shoulders sit low. Short neck. Low to the ground.

This picture is from a bear on my property a couple years ago. Narrow ass compared to big front shoulders. He can play linebacker on my team. Definitely a boar. Bigger front legs too.
