I love deer/venison Bacon. I made mine this year with Lems sesoning mix. Awesome....
Does anyone here have a self made recipe that I could try?
 
I use 75% ground venison and 25% ground pork mix it with seasoning packet ... Then I put it in cake pans(13x9) and let it set up in the regrig overnight. Then pop it out on a rack and smoke it.. Next day.. Slice it .. The slices are about the size of a slice of bacon..
 
Looks killer. We have raised a few pigs the last two years. Nothing from the store compares to that home made bacon. Its amazing.
 
you're shooting deer that are fat enough to get a bacon belly off them?? Did you live trap them and fill them up on corn??

How many times do you grind the venison and pork? Size of plate?
