I booked round trip with a couple days cushion on back end. Hoping for the best. Also my first go at it!

I always book front and back ends separately. Have done that for years. Separate itineraries and confirmation numbers. Easier to make changes if necessary.

Woooooohoooo! the fifth time it has changed. Sorry havnt flown commercially for twelve years. This is kind fun guessing what is the next change. "They come every twenty days. Boy travel has changed in twelve years. But i don't care as long as I am in Alaska on the 31st of August! Enjoying the pre trip ride.

I booked about 60 days ago with American and Alaska Airlines and no changes yet. Price has gone from. 1100 to 1600 though

Booking earlier is always better and advisable. It would cut down the cost.

I booked a 2022 Omaha to Fairbanks flight (Alaska Airlines) a couple months ago. I still have Google tracking changes in the price of that trip. It has gone up and down between $250 and $400 continuously with no apparent pattern.
