Decided to give this a try, for $66ish you get the bottom plastic, lol, and one mag. I have a 270wsm had Hawkins Oberndorf BDL bottom metal on it from when I had it built but wanted to increase capacity. I had to do slight inletting to get it to fit but nothing too crazy. The MagPul mag box is 2.86 in length but the bottom metal takes ACIS mags and the AW WSM mag fits for short actions.

I did have to grind a little on both the Magpul and AM WSM mag boxes to get a perfect fit but it fits perfect now, no slop and feeds without issue.

The Magpul is a 5rd mag made for .308 but works as a 4rd mag for WSM once modified, opened up the feed lips. Think I like the Magpul better.

I have been impressed with the Magpul AICS-copy mags. I picked up a Magnum magazine for my 300 WM last month and have used it a few times so far. They seem to feed well and hold up well to general abuse riding around in my range bag. When you factor in the price point the Magpul mags are hard to beat.

Pretty crazy you get the bottom metal and one mag for $66, the mag alone is $33. I went ahead and order a few more of the Magpul mags. 1-5rd and 1-10rd, I’m thinking the 10rd will be similar in size to the AW 7rd at half the price.

I will say unless you have a Magpul Hunter stock expect to do some fitting of both the stock and bottom metal but it’s nothing super complicated.
