I bought a Christensen arms ridge line in 6.5 prc and absolutely hate the stock. I pulled the bravo off another rifle to try out and really like how the rifle feels and balances. I tried the 308 AI magazine and it feeds but I can only get 1 bullet in the magazine because there is a metal tab that goes inside the front of the magazine and the bullet hits it. Are there longer ID magazines or a different style that would work with the 6.5 prc so I can run my ridgline in the bravo chassis? If not what are my other options for a more vertical grip?

I’m not super familiar with the KRG stock but my mag fed 6.5 PRC uses 300WSM AI pattern mags. Accurate Mag I believe is the particular brand. They might fit?

Edit: here’s a side by side with a 308 AI mag which fits the same chassis as my PRC.

What is the difference between the 300wsm mag and the 308 mag? I imagine it’s the feee lips. Can you get me an internal legnth on your mag front to back?

I use 300 WSM Accurate Mags in my KRG Bravo and Tikka 6.5 PRC and iirc 2.95” is max COAL.

I’ll get the length tomorrow but the 308 is Magpul and it’s not even close length wise. Obviously the polymer is much thicker.

Accurate Mag, or for more money, but they are machined better/look nicer, and seem like better quality...Curtis Customs makes a short mag magazine. $130, but if you have the money and means, I would suggest them over the accurate mags.

Its what you need for 6.5prc, the WSM’s and Saums.

I just test fit one these Curtis/Terminus 3rd wsm/saum/prc mags in a krg bravo, and it's a no go w/o modifying the poly around the mag well. The mag has to be pushed in pretty hard to get thr catch to latch, and then the mag no longer sits level with the action, it's nose down.

sorry bumping old thread but seemed most applicable here. Has anyone tried the mdt 3 rnd mag in a bravo for a tikka? have a tikka 300 wsm I'm still deciding what to do with. thinking about a preferred prefit in 6.5 prc for it with a bravo.

I'm running the CA Ridgeline / KRG Bravo combo as well. Drop in fitment was a breeze, point of aim only moved 4 clicks on the windage. But I'm just that good at eyeballing things when I tighten up the action screws :).

For mags - got the 3 round MDT AICS compatible mags for 300 WSM / 6.5 PRC, and they function perfectly. Though they hold 4 rounds instead of the advertised 3. The mag sticks down ~1/2" below the stock. As KRG says in the manual, it is possible to jam the top of the mag up against the bolt. Haven't had any issues, but it is a thing. There's a little vertical play there. The fit in the chassis was a little more snug than I would like when both components were brand new. After limited use, they've worn in to suit me perfectly when loading/unloading.
