Made in China versus USA

I believe SG is only assembled in US. Don’t hold me to that.
Their pack should have a tag "Made in USA"
From their website:
"Stone Glacier packs and accessories are proudly made in the USA. Not only do we manufacture our products in the United States but where applicable we also use materials and components that are Made in the USA. "

I believe Kifaru is the only one that not only manufacturers in the USA but they also make sure every supporting piece is usa.
Aka down to fabric, thread, buckles. Etc etc.
Idk for sure if there the only ones.
But they are the only ones I know to be Berry compliant.

not 100% on the others but kifaru is berry compliant

several mystery ranch military line packs and older hunting packs are berry compliant but i haven’t been keeping up on the mystery ranch stuff lately.

I believe they have the ability to make a complete Berry product, but not all are. For example, I believe Xpac is a European material.
Dimension-Polyant is the company that makes xpac and they have both German and American factories, although its very likely there are asian versions of the fabric being made. Its the same situation with Cordura branded fabrics, there are the American and mil-spec versions and the asian versions that greatly effect the cost.

Mystery Ranch makes a lot of military packs that are American made and berry compliant, the easy way to tell is if theyre like $700+ vs the asian made ones being sub $500

If you can find out which company’s have certain lines of product specific to the military then that line has to be Berry complaint I believe. Just reading about Berry compliance with the DOD they state “in the time of war their products bring used like wool, cotton, clothing, tents, etc. all have to be made 100% from American material”. No imports.
Ive noticed when you put kifaru Cordura up next to a few other brands the other brands feel thinner and the zippers don’t have a durable resistance feeling like a kifaru has. I hate loose wiggly easy sliding zippers. I still believe kifaru is yet the only company in outdoor gear that is truly 100% American. Which is awesome cuz now most of Kifaru’s duplex lite frame and bag systems are actually cheaper then a few newer company’s out there

I saw a Video podcast a while back where Snyder was interviewed and gave the tour of the shop and talked to the daughters and to some other great Americans. One of the things they talked about was the fact that not only the labor, but the materials, right down to the thread used are Made in America. That matters to some Americans. I'm one of those Americans. (I deleted what I wrote next. But I'll let you guess. It involved China, and an F-bomb expltive) ;)

Exo Mountain had a podcast where they also said all there materials and assembly was in Idaho, except for some reason they could not get zipper pulls made in USA, so their packs are 99% made in USA.

I find that hard to believe. But if true, it's a great opportunity to invest in an American company to start building them. Give them the spec for said zipper pull and manufacture right here. I don't buy for a second that this cannot be supplied and made in America. These companies have got to stop buying from China! Anyone from Exo want to speak to this?

The "where applicable" part is what raises eyebrows. Is whatever is not applicable 10%? 30%? What country does whatever is not applicable come from? What is it that is not applicable?
