I finished these arm guards yesterday for a couple of friends. Now I get to make something for myself!

Both have a backing of vegetable tanned cowhide. The one on the left has a facing made from elephant ear leather and deer hide trim. The one on the right has a shark skin facing with elk hide trim. Both arrowheads are made from ostrich leg skin. I carved the lace hooks out of deer antler and sewed everything up by hand using B-50 bowstring material and artificial sinew. I sewed in a little extra mojo into each of them to bring these guys success this fall. No charge for the mojo option!

Looks like you did a really good job they look nice. Just curious how long does something like that take you to make?

That's pretty dang snazzy my man!

Those are definitely as good as it gets. I'd get up in the morning and go hunting just so I could wear an arm guard that classy.

Beautiful work. My father-in-law did leather for about 50 years and won every contest he entered, so I have seen some really nice work over the last 35 years that he was alive. Your stitching is really well done!

Here is a mini saddle he did for us back in 1984. He gave one to each of his kids when they got married..."For your first child".

From the title I was thinking something totally different, involving perhaps a trip to jail.
