Macomb herd

Anyone know how the Macomb herd is holding up this year, didn't see a ton of them last year but I was more focused on moose. Thinking about heading down on the 26-27th with a buddy.

since they hang out in an area that got hit hard i would think they got hit pretty hard which isnt good since its a very small herd compared to most others. that has to be one of the hardest herds to hunt.

ADFG has not done a census of the McComb herd this year but the sheep counting folks did report seeing a few caribou but no spectacular numbers . The sheep numbers are not good and I suspect the caribou suffered as well. The bison and moose in the valley took a beating. There's not much encouraging wildlife news here in Delta.

Interesting. They must use last years number and harvested amount to come up with the quota for this year. I know they normally fly it the day or 2 before the last 2 days of the season to check on them.
