Throwing this out there if anyone has built off of a Mack Brothers stainless short action. If any of you have had good success with the actions.
I am looking into building a .25 Creedmoor. Is there much anyone has had to do machine wise, besides cutting and chambering the barrel to the action?
I appreciate any feedback.

Thank you

I have some. What do you want to know? I have only barreled one so far. It’s a 16” 308. They are smooth as silk and pretty lightweight. I have two bdl’s that I’ll probably build 6 or 6.5 creeds for the kids and a magnum that will probably be a 6.5 PRC or 7saum. The only issue I’ve run into is having to relieve the stock to clear the trigger hanger screw.

I was looking at the manners stock builder page, and they have an inlet mold for the Mack Bros action. So hopefully that would eliminate the trigger relief issue.

Overall question I suppose I was looking for if the machine tolerances were good on the action. As well as the overall build process compared to maybe a “more expensive” action.
