M&P sheild?

I have had two. The 40 and 9mm. I kept the 9mm and use it as a concealed carry, secondary to my ruger lcp. The lcp is just easier to always have on me. The shield is more accurate and user friendly.

We have three in the household, all .40’s. All have been 100%. If it fits your hand and need, you should be happy.

We have 2 in our house and 5 in the family. 100% reliable. They conceal very well but are still fun to shoot. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

What ammo are guys using in your 40 S&W Shield? Mine seems to like the federal 180 hst.

I’ve put quite a bit of range time on the Shield and have never come to like the trigger. I’ve always considered swapping the stock trigger to probably an Apex but haven’t gotten around to it. Besides that, it’s a quality firearm.

Have the shield 9mm the compact 9mm and full size 9mm ,personally for carry the compact is my choice, they are all 100% reliable

Also interested in a a shield, when they came out with the 2.0 I was even more interested.

Mine has digested everything I’ve tried. Fmj target loads in 165 and 180, 200 gr hard cast, 135 - 180 gr hp’s. Around town I carry 165gr critical defense, in the woods the 200gr hard cast and sometimes a 140gr Barnes for all around (in and out of town ) if no Grizz in an area.

Shields are great small reliable pistols. I’ve shot them 10x10 on 12” steel targets out to 45 yards. If you shop around, it’s not unusual to find them in the $250 range (but those days are probably gone for a while).

I’ve had four. Some may have triggers that are good enough and some needed an Apex upgrade. Another plug for the HYVE mag extensions, particularly for the spare mag reload. Trijicon HD sights are good also.

I carry them in a pocket “Sticky” type holster, an ankle holster, or an AIWB holster as needed.

I know the SIG P365 is the new hotness, but see no reason to switch away from the Shield, and may get another.
