Anyone have experience with this press and if it does a good job catching primers? Thinking about setting up a dedicated deprimer press and the short stoke and cheap price got me interested.
Had a few looks but no responses so I’ll share a quick update. I went ahead and picked up the cheap little press. It is a little rough compared to a Redding or even RCBS and the “short throw” isn’t as short as I had hoped. Using a universal depriming die, the press went 50 for 50 catching primers out of some 6.5 CM brass. I’ve never had that level of success with my RCBS and Redding presses. I think it will work fine for a dedicated depriming press to keep the rams on my other presses free of primer residue and keep the primers off the floor.
I have a Lee APP press with a Lee universal deprimer die and collator attached. I can deprime alot of cases in a very short time. I have even hand fed the case feeder jaws with good success. Once you find your rhythm you'll be amazed. Ed
