Lyman Alaskan scope

Family member found this at an estate sale for a dollar and sent it to me.. I didn’t think much of it until I did some digging on this scope and found that it was rather high quality for its time.

I’d like to find an old rifle to put this on rather than sell it, just not well versed in what the scope rings on it were made for.

They are probably for an old Redfield Jr base. eBay or a junk bin at an old gun shop should turn one up for a M70, 1903 Springfield, Mauser, or Savage 99 pretty easily.

Looks like 7/8" tube.
