I thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is interested. Today I received the carbon cot and twist kit. The carbon cot will support 160 lbs. (maybe a bit more on solid ground) on soft ground as-is and it weighs right at 2 lbs. on my postal scale. The twist kit adds more supports up to 300 or more lbs. This thing goes together easily and is really light. It's pretty comfortable, too. I have my doubts since, to me, the point of having a cot is so you can sit to put on shoes and stuff but this cot is comfy. With the twist kit this is identical to the Thermarest version for less money and a little less weight due to the carbon poles.

Also, I found a Joey chair from TravelChair at a hardware store. Boy, it packs small and is pretty darned lightweight being less than 2 lbs. It packs smaller than the cot, too. We carried it along this past weekend on a youth trad archery hunt to use in a ground blind. It sits as tall as any camp chair and can be easily tossed in a daypack. I found another one on Amazon for $55 shipped which is pretty good.

I know, both of these aren't ultralightweight but they are light enough to give you lots of creature comfort on an extended backcountry stay.

A friend of mine has had one for a few years and likes it but he is a little guy- he wouldn't let my 6'3" 230#s get near it.

FYI on very cold nights you really need a good pad as these are similar to hammocks in regards to letting cold air circulate under you- they sleep a tad cold.

I've got an Exped 7LW so I'm covered on the insulation. I've got an ultra thin foam pad from gossamer gear that I can use for early season.

Heck, I may use it on one trip and figure it's not for me but it's pretty slick.
