Luna 6 or Cimarron or......

Just ordered a stovepipe from lite outdoors for a large wifi stove.
Kevin from seek outside said 6 foot pipe was sufficient but ordered 7 feet.
Wanted to ensure as few sparks as possible.
If it's way to long can always cut a foot off.

I think my pipe is 7' and I think it's fine. Even if it's a little long, I can still use it for other shelters potentially as well. Plus, with the Cimarron, you can pitch it tight which would only need a short pipe but if you wanted more room and the stove as well, pitching it higher is still an option with a longer pipe.

^^^ Got the Cimarron yesterday and have not set it up yet. Lite Outdoors had some titanium foil damaged so they are a little behind. I hope to get the stove next week.

Anyone have any pictures of the Cimarron & stove with 3 sleeping pads/bags setup? Trying to get an idea how "tight" of a setup it would be running 3 in a Cimarron with a stove.

If you look at my photos on the first page, there are a couple with a 2-person nest on one side and a bivy on the other along with a stove. While tight, this would accommodate three people and the stove. That said, notice that I had the Cimarron pitched up a little higher off the ground which gives a lot more room. In other pictures from other people, they have it pitched down tight to the ground which really reduces the inside space. So, to answer your question, a lot will depend on the conditions you will be dealing with as well as the size of the 3 people.

I did see the pictures but the sleeping pad looks like it took up most of the 2 person nest, hoping the picture is deceiving? I have a BAs version of the SL5 and am debating putting a stove jack in it or getting a Cimarron with jack installed from SO. Wanting to fit three with a stove but am guessing that the Redcliff would fit the bill best. Decisions decisions....

In this photo, we were both in the next with Large XLite/Xtherm pads. Granted, it was my girlfriend so it was close but tolerable.

For what it's worth, I moved from an SL5 to the Cimarron and it has a lot more usable room, especially when pitched up off the ground. The two doors make it much better as well.

After having mine out on a couple trips now, two guys, stove and gear is max imo. If you go with three guys all the time get the redcliff.
