Lumley pillars in Tikka T3X "press-in"

Apologies if this has been posted, but I did search and didn't see anything.

Looking for anecdotal experience from anyone who has installed Lumley pillars in a T3X factory stock, particularly without bedding. Does drilling the action holes to 25/64" result in a good press in fit? If so, did you see any accuracy changes? I plan on ordering a Rokstock once they are available again, but was thinking of tinkering around with what I have now that this year's hunting is over for me. Lumley has the kit with lug, screws, and pillars for a good price, so I figured why not?

I'm a rookie with modifications (only bedding I've done is an Area 419 pic rail) so the act of bedding is a little intimidating, and while I will continue to read up on the process I'm secretly hoping that a "press in" fit for pillars and lug will get me out of having to bed. Alternatively, is it even worth doing if you don't just bed the action and pillars? A driving factor leading me to pillars is that I've been using 65in lbs on the action screws, which I'm learning is a bit much without pillars and on the factory bottom plastic...

Thanks for any help!

Sounds like a waste of time and $$$ if you intend to replace the stock
You may very well be right. However I'm factoring in the wait until more Rokstocks are available to order, then the lead time... could be late 2025 if not after. For around $50 I was thinking this might give me something to tinker with during the winter months, and maybe give an accuracy bump while I'm at it. Any excuse to stand in the garage and play with rifles, right?

I installed a set in a wood tikka stock, but that one was bedded.
Imo most times it’s not usually so much an issue of seeing an immediate improvement in precision, as it is ensuring the precision lasts for a long time by preventing compression of the stock over time and with repeated tightening/loosening.

I appreciate the responses. I may just reassemble everything and just do the standard 45in lbs and see what happens, maybe torque up from there. I know there's a lot of debate on action screw torque, 65 seemed to work ok for me but I've heard a lot say that's too much. Thanks again
