Trump is treating the US like a business. He's using tactics businesses use to negotiate and get deals done. I'm not sure why everyone is so surprised by this. He didn't become a billionaire from being in a position of weakness. Like him or not...he's prioritizing the United States. That's something we have lacked for the past 4 years.
LOL. He didn't become a billionaire by running successful businesses either. Trump Airlines, Trump Beverages, Trump the Board Game, his casinos, his magazine (yes he had one), his mortgage company, did you know he sold steaks (bankrupt), gotrump.com (travel site), he had a vodka, Trump University, and let's just say Truth Social ain't doing so hot these days. Nearly everything he touches he runs into the ground. He's rich because he always gets out with his own personal interest before what he got involved in melts, and I promise you he will here, too. His Soverign Wealth fund is already set up to do that.

Its commonly known that Bush is the poster boy of the RINO Uniparty..
So the Bush family is the enemy of Maga? I didn’t know that. A fella learns something every day. That’s funny. You guys spend a lot of time and effort being angry at people.

Your argument is failed trinket businesses like board games and beverages? The man owns several hotels and numerous golf resorts. His assets are in the billions. Pretty sure every venture capitalist has a list of failed businesses. That’s the nature of the game.

If Trump is a failure at business with billions in assets…then I want to be a failure too. 😂

I personally have witnessed what the high dairy tariffs (225-300% roughly) have done to most Canadians. When our son lived in Bellingham, the Costco parking lot would have at least 50% of the spaces filled with Canadian vehicles. These folks were buying cooler after cooler of dairy products and taking them back home.
The tariffs the Canadian gov were charging went to the gov forcing their citizens to pay more for dairy items if they bought them in Canada. It also allowed the Canadian dairy industry to jack up their prices to be just under the price of the tariffed items.
And now Trudeau is crying like a little bitch about 25%
F him.

You're right. Only 90% of his businesses have failed. I should aspire to do so well.

His Scotland course is down $20M by the way, and those who originally supported his effort say they were "hoodwinked" by him, just like everyone else who deals with him.

I'm curious. Since you're such a fan, when you met him what was your opinion of his character? My personal interactions with him were not so positive.

I'm not really sure how the U.S. is getting screwed by other countries. Americans love to take advantage of a strong dollar and cheap foreign labor to get cheap goods, and then complain that nothing is made in america. The US decided a long time ago to focus on skilled labor jobs and send most unskilled labor offshore. This has helped maintain a relatively high standard of living in the US. If you want to bring most of the lost manufacturing jobs back to the US get ready to either screw over your own workers (to maintain low prices) or enjoy higher prices for everything you buy. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
In addition to all that...

Who does anyone know that would trade the job they currently have to make less money to sit on a factory assembly line building appliances or tools that will be be approximately as good as the ones we can currently buy, but for a lot more money?

I am not defending Trump at all but don’t forget that wealthy people generally all own multiple businesses. Some of those business are to make money and some are to lose money.

Trump won on the promise to lower prices. When? How? You’ve been talking a good game for 4 years, now it’s time to show us.

You will just find a way to deflect on any positives and blame for every negative. Nonetheless, the way that the private sector has been dropping DEI in the last few weeks as a result of the new administration has reduced cost and created much opportunity in my line of work.

Guess he should have gotten rich like the politicians did, by stealing from the taxpayers and trading stocks through illegal means. We know Biden, Mazine Watters, Commiela, Pelosi and AOC are smarter than him.
