Whats to consensus on lube / anti-seize on barrel threads for suppressor. While I dont have any issues with my Nomad Ti xc on my Tikka, was just curious if I should put anything. Threads came back from Kampfeld spotless. Cleaned the crap out of the Nomad threads. Goes on with no resistance but still in the back of my mind if I should.

Did they have any sort of grease on them? I just got two barrels back from him yesterday (threaded and with thread protectors) and they definitely had grease on the threads. Side note - his workmanship is impeccable.

I use nickel anti-sieze. Just use something, even locktite or Rocket, primary because you will know how to break it free, unlike if better on metal binds up.

Food grade high temp anti seize. Way less messy than nickel based anti seize. Like mentioned before a little goes along way.

I never do but probably should. Expecially with ti can threads. The factory XC thread adapter is steel though.
x2 One thing is, I don't leave my cans on my rifle. They are put on to shoot/hunt and taken off when headed home.

Rokset is the devil...every time I've ever messed with it, it's been a PIA. Who wants to boil water to remove something? I'd rather use red loctite...at least then I know with a good amount of heat I'll be able to get it off.

TBH, when I got it back, I wiped down the entire barrel, action and everything so I don't remember. I may have had a little something on it. When I cleaned the Nomad Ti xc threads, I cleaned the threads on barrel and thread protector.

Usually the threads should be 3A/3B you should feel some resistance as it snugs up close to the shoulder. If it is loose all the way up have them checked by a machinist.

I cannot get the Xeno mount off my new Nomad Ti XC. I am pretty sure they used the strongest Loctite they could find.

They even had the Muzzle Device mounted inside the Xeno so it would be a PITA to get it off.

They may have used roksett. Try soaking for 24 hours, or boiling for 10 minutes.
