I’m looking to buy a different tripod. Vortex summit or possibly a slik. Anybody got what I’m looking for?

I would take a good look at the Schonfeld 6615T Carbon. I have been using one for the last year and a half with their Fluid Pan Head. Combined they weigh 2.2 lbs and it reverse folds which makes it compact enough to fit easily in the pack.

Depending on your intended uses, you might consider the KDC granite peak. I just picked up a used one and it's stupid light. Cant wait to use it in the field and enjoy carrying it.

Another option is the benro carbon slim. I just picked one up and the quality seems nice. Price is killer too!

Thanks guys!
I was was originally looking for a used one, but I’ll have to see what comes along.

Isn't this the same tripod as the Amazon basic carbon fiber traveler that is like $80?
