I picked one up this year. It was great to keep the scope and action clean, dry and unfrozen as a snowstorm blew through on my recent elk hunt. I liked knowing everything is going to function as expected when the moment comes to use the rifle. The only downside I see is it does take a second or two more to remove and be ready for a shot than the old neoprene scope cover I've been using. For me it's going to be situation dependent on whether or not I use it on a hunt going forward but I'm glad I have it as a tool in the kit.

Side benefit, when sitting and glassing I put my cheap foam glassing pad inside of it for extra protection while sitting and glassing.

Thanks Justin, look forward to a thorough review warts and all.

@twall13 It does take a little longer to take off when it is fully wrapped. One way I use it is to put it on the scope only and then roll up the extra and tuck it in if I am lazy.

Or, I will turn one pocket inside out, then put it over the scope. Then fold the other half up and put the the right side out pocket over the inside out. It is double layer and then runs only on top of the scope like a neoprene cover.

I need to get a video of it…

is it essential just a covering?
Yes, to keep it light weight, it’s just a covering. I mainly use it when the rifle is strapped to my pack and I am covering ground, then when I stop for glassing. Stays covered in camp as well.

I typically tape the muzzle. My partner likes the 3/4 to cover his barrel. Preference for that.

We are in early early stages of designing a padded version, but don’t know when it will be released.

It's been perfect for keeping everything protected when I toss the rifle in the back of the SxS or strap it to my pack. So far, I'm a big fan. It gives just enough protection for my needs.
