Anybody use these ? I'm thinking about getting a non GTX boot. Less foot sweat / breathability ? Thanks

The Renegades are a hiking boot, not a backpacker. As such, they have a more flexible shank and are not as stout in construction.

I have had LL boots. They are very nice in hot and dry conditions. They suck if you get caught in a three day rainstorm.

+1. Great boots, especially for hot weather. However, once that leather liner is soaked it takes awhile to dry.

The Lowa Camino LL is a great boot that often gets overlooked. Kind of a 'tweener of the Renegade and Tibet.

I will agree with the tibets. Great boots but the minute they get soaked with rain it takes forever to dry. I can cross creeks and rivers but the minute I get stuck in days of rain they are drenched and hold that water in.
