I suggested the wife try and go up a half size and it didn't work out. These are on the stiffer size and more of a rugged backpacking-trekking boot but not like a Tibet. If you look close at the pic of the toe you'll see a slight peel on the tip. This is not an actual rand but some type of protective coating.
I've also given these two good coats of Crispi boot creme late last year. The original insoles are unused.
