Looking for a boot for this season! I tried on quite a few pairs this week while in Bozeman. Out of all the pairs I tried, I liked the fit of the Lowa Mountain Expert GTX Evo and the Schnee's Absaroka the best. However, the Mountain Experts were red, which isn't that big of a deal, but I am looking for a hunting boot. Has anyone had a chance to compare the fit of this boot with the Cevedale PRO GTX? If so, how do they differ? I'd like to get the Cevedale in green if the fit is similar. If not, I'll probably go with the Schnee's boot. Thanks!

I havent tried the Mountain Experts, but if you can use the Tibet's as a point of reference, I can tell you that the Cevedale's were very narrow in comparison. I usually hover between a regular width and a wide depending on manufacturer. I own the regular width Tibet's and they fit me great, but the regular width Cevedale's were noticably more narrow. Uncomfortably narrow in the toe box. Dont know if that helps or not...

Hmm yeah I tried on the Tibets and they seemed narrow to me and, iirc, seemed too thick of a heel. If the Cevedale are more narrow than the Tibets, I'm gonna have to pass on them unless I can try them on first. So I guess it's the Absaroka or red Mountain Experts.

Lowa rangers for me. Not as stiff as tibets, seem to be about the same width, I have wides in both. Rangers are extremely nice. I think a lot of guys go over board with the tibets, they are more boot then most guys really need.

Cevedales were great in the heel, but way too narrow from the arch to the toe box. If you want to stick with lowa check out the ticam's. Wider and fit true to size.
