Low profile insole

I've tried a handful of insoles. Because they are all generally thicker than the stock ones, it raises my heel and causes me to blister.


Does anyone know of a decent model that is fairly low profiled?

I don’t know about low profile, but if you haven’t tried Sole yet, I recommend it. There’s a thread on here about them; it’s the only insole I wear in all of my shoes and boots now. Very pleased I found them, as I used to have issues with insoles not feeling right.

These might be more low profile than you are after...as in no profile, zero-drop...but they are what I use in all my shoes/"boots". Their new MFM insole might be what you are after - I use their pan flat models.

Sorry, I didn’t remember they had those thin ones. The thin models has ZERO cushion. Those were not comfortable for me, but YMMV.

I use medium in almost all of my boots and shoes, except for heavy insulated boots, where I have room for thick insoles.

I’m really not sure about your thickness concern, I just wanted to mention this company in case you hadn’t seen them. Like I said, I didn’t find anything I liked until I found these.

I have the sole performance thin cork in most of my normal shoes and the performance thick in a pair of stiff mountaineering boots that I needed to eat up a little volume.

I've found the thin ones to work well in all my other shoes even in slim running shoes or performance fit ski boots where I'm trying not to reduce any volume at all that previously I struggled with green superfeets raising my heel like you're describing.

I use these exclusively in all of my outdoor footwear. You won't get the lifespan out of them as the thicker ones, but if you need to reduce some volume in your boots, they are perhaps the best option on the market.

It does appear to be the case. I guess I need to stock up on some Carbons. At least 1 local shop and the local REI have some Carbons still in stock.
