I saw that spartan makes an adapter that goes from spartan to arca. If you use one of their gunsmith adapters that sits flush, you can have a detachable arca rail.

Wondering if anyone has ever used one and how steady they are? I've never used any of their products but for my use case it would be perfect.

I really like my manners LRH but I have a couple rifles that don't have a rail or a recessed area for one. Thinking about installing it at the balance point of the rifle in front of the front action screw. Only hesitation is I'm unsure how stable it is and the adapter is extremely small so there's not much room for adjustment on the tripod.

I have one and have used it fairly extensively. Is it as stable as a ARCA mounted on a stock? No, but it’s better than a pig or hog saddle which I used to use. The other disadvantage for me, is that the rifle is not affixed to the tripod so you can’t sling the rifle over your shoulder and leave the tripod attached while you move.
I will continue to use it in conjunction with the Spartan Classic Rifle adapter on rifles I don’t want to drill holes in.

Just get the balance point arca rail from SRS. I have that spartan adapter and it suffers from the same slop their entire ecosystem has. More importantly running a tripod mount way out on the foreend sucks without a really stiff tripod and stock/chassis.

I use one but kind of the opposite reason. All my rifles have spartan attachments at middle of rifle. So it allows me to use an anvil 30 with the spartan system.
