I put the cart before the horse here. Do you have any ideas what hunting rifle under $800 can fling these ok?

the answer is gonna be theres no way of knowing for sure. I will say my bergara shoots pretty much everything ive put thru it extremely well. Ive shot federal 180 blue box, hornady eldx precision hunters, federal fusion, winchester deer season, and now nosler ballistic tips. all with pretty good success. course im hunting not precision rifle either.

My tikka t3 308, which I bought used (had about 50 shots down tube) shoots fed blue box 150 power shoks damn near in same hole. But each gun will be different.

At your price point, you should be able to put together a rifle that shoots sub MOA with the right ammo,

My Winchester M70 Featherweight loves 150 grain factory ammo to the point I don't bother reloading for it.

I'm assuming blue box Federals are what you're referring to? My Ruger American Predator puts 5 at or under an inch at 100. 1/10 twist.

I'll let you know how the 1/11 Tikka likes them later today.

Ever consider a Henry Long Ranger? I've never used one, but if I were looking for a handy .308, it would be on my consideration list. It's going to be a couple hundred over your price.

No it’s for a scoped rifle. I’ve been carrying around an M1A with iron sights. My first season off the bow I thought it would be fine hahaha.

Top 3 where right at an inch. Tikka T3x Lite in 308. 1-11 twist. 150 grain Federal Power Shok.
My Ruger American Predator mentioned stays right about the same
