Giving some updates here. You were right got one for Christmas. Not worn in hunting conditions but weight to warmth ration seems very good. I had a post on puffy outside or inside, and decided to go with the Large that will pack while walking on goat hunt and pull out and go under my Kuiu Axis jacket with minimal if any compression.
Awesome! I’m glad you like the piece! I’ve been extremely happy with mine.

I burned the shit out of my first one on a stove pipe in a hot tent. And they sold me another one at cost because they couldn’t repair. That was cool of them as well

The grumman is one of my favorites. I can stash it in my pack and if I get just a little cold I'll bust it out. That sucker is too warm sometimes.

I will be buying the pants.

Sounds like they are coming out with some new pieces here in January too. Interested to see their new pants.

I essentially won't buy any other pants for hunting now. The waist adjustment system is too good. Not matter how flexible or light a belt, I get hot spots on my hips and the SG pants solve that. The very long hip vents and pocket designs are nice too. I do wish they were more tapered around the lower leg, but if it ever bothers me enough I can have that fixed.

I wish the 206 pants had knee pad pockets, I usually rifle hunt where the standard De Havillands work, but should get a muzzleloader elk tag for September of 2025 and need something lightweight.

Valid point regarding the legs. Looked at some in Jackson Hole today and was in shock at how big the legs are.
