With the evaluation of headlamps being at an all time high, I was hoping for the latest info on what's best.

Zebralight or bust brah, anything else would be uncivilized...and could leave you stranded in the dark with lions and tigers and bears...zebra lights are the most evolved Robby says so:)

I still run my Neanderthal cabelas guide version and spend every waking hour dreaming of zebras n such.

there is a pretty good article in the most recent issue of Western Hunter reviewing headlamps.
I recently bought a Princerton Tech Vizz that I will be using this fall / winter. It seems like a good headlamp for the price.

I always make sure the strap matches my current camo pattern. Functionality isn't important. When I use my headlamp to watch tv in the evening it helps me keep the cheetoh stains off my tighty whiteys. The three things I look for while googling headlamps is
1. Somewhere in the description it must say "ultralight"
2.strap must match. Pack, gaitors, beanie, and socks.
3. It can't ever be in a topic on www.backcountryhikers.com I must separate myself from those weirdos and there theory's on hiking!
