Looking to buy a pellet rifle

I second on skip the springers! They jerk mess up scopes, and are actually pretty loud. A good budget pcp would be a Benjamin Marauder in a .22 or .25 cal. You will smile with every shot!
My Diana 34 has worn a $25 Simmons 4x32 for 4 years now, and it's still dead on. You can ask the head-shot squirrels laying in my yard. LOL

But maybe those simple Simmons 4x32's are just that tough. I dunno.

You can probably get a Marauder or Marauder pistol used for close to your budget. I have the pistol with an AR stock adapter and had it tuned to shoot 750 fps. I only get maybe a dozen full power shots but squirrels hate it. The small reservoir makes it easy to refill with a cheap hand pump. Also, I would recommend buying a variety pack of assorted pellets so you can test to see what it likes. There will be a big difference in some of them.
