Looking for recommendation as to very good guided goat hunt.

I can't imagine anyone going through the effort of writing a bad review if it was not true. a lot of hours of effort for untruths??? come on....

Must be your first time on the internet? If Kaden told him not to shoot at 550 yards and ol’ homeboy wasn’t prepared to get closer, or listen to his guide whom was going to have to recover said (wounded) goat, don’t you think that’s something that’d make a client upset? Especially if he’s incapable of climbing said mtn again, because his expertise in the Marines 3 decades ago makes him qualified to be hard enough to show up and argue with his guide who has been on more goats than most average men?

I’d let Kaden take my 5 year old up a mountain. He’s as good as they come.

Some grapes are just sour, no matter what you do with them. It’s best they’re thrown out.

I can bang steel all day long at 600 yards. Very consistent. It's my hunt, I'm shooting if I'm confident in the shot. I don't know kandem, I don't know this guide service. I never hunted Alaska or BC & never will. all I know is the hunter sounded sincere. Why would anyone make up such a tale of untruths???

There have been a few hunts that I have shot without asking the guide permission. I just say close your ears, and shoot. 580 yards was my longest kill. Animal is dead, nothing the guide can do, but go retrieve dead animal. I have had good guides, and junkie guides. Most are good. come across a few rotten apples in any sport.

Ignorance and arrogance are typically most quite sincere..

I assumed you were joking here but perhaps not! 🤔 People do a lot of stupid things behind the keyboard and in the field. The outfitter was aware that the hunter was going to be interesting. The hunter deleted the original post for good reason. Many of us (guides and clients) met the hunter, roomed together and broke bread together and can clearly attest to the character of the hunter. So those who haven’t met the hunter or the guide hold little to no weight in the discussion.

I’ve known Kaden for all of his 22 years, know the details of how this hunt unfolded and am 100% confident he made the right call to ensure high ethical standards. Some people don’t like to hear the word “NO” and that’s too bad. This shows solid leadership on the part of the guide. If hunters think it’s fine to take 1,600 yard Hail Mary shots at animals then we won’t ever share the campfire together.

Ok so you can hit steel at 600 that is you. Client told me he had never shot his gun past 500 at the range. let alone on an animal where it was not a good shot and never presented one. Goats are tough animals, you need to be able to anchor them and then get a second shot if needed right away, that was not the case here. There are many goats you see but never get to shoot because of where they are. That's just goat hunting. When things go wrong the client is not the one retrieving the goat it will be me as the guide risking my life if he dies in a nasty spot. So at the end of the day the guide who knows the country and the animals will make the call. Its a lot different than shooting a deer in a field.

There was opportunities after the first day as well. We looked at multiple mature Billy's the next couple days that the hunter said he was unable to go after. On the final day he was there we went to one of best accessible spots we have and got a glimpse of a big Billy. I explained if he stayed that Billy would likely show up again in the next few days and we would get a shot, he still decided to leave.

I have always had great relationships with my clients and hunting partners and they have had nothing but good to say about me. I am sure by looking at the positive comments about me you could probably figure that out.

There is much more I could say but i'm just gonna leave it at that. Hope that clears thing up a little.
