looking for light durable clothing

I know i wont find the do all end all here any time soon but i was wondering. I hunt eastern Washington archery for deer and elk; is there a system that is light packable able to layer easily and durable enough for spot and stalk hunting in the basalt fields of mule deer country? i had heard First Lite was a good company but the pants seemed to not be super durable but then there is the ever present cost of Sitka. what else would work for both early and late season hunts. im looking for one pair of pants 1 or 2 shirts, baselayers and a jacket not including rain gear to get me through most of the season which runs from September until Mid December
