You may want to be more specific? Back tension is how you execute with any release. I will presume you mean a "hinge style" release or are you looking for a thumb button or resistance style?

Sorry new to this game. I shoot a trigger style right now but wanting to try something new.

I am assuming it is a resistance style.
I don’t want a hinge or thumb activated.

Your looking for a tension activated release. I recommend a nock on silverback or carter evolution. They’re basically the same but the nock on is more of a two finger style.

STAN also makes a resistance release in the Perfex line that has plenty of features to customize the handle to your preference.

Is a 3 finger easier to pull than a 2?

Not necessarily, I shoot the silverback. It’s primarily a 2 finger but I “hang” my 3rd finger when I draw.
