I have decided to stop buying tons of gear, and start taking the gear I have on more hunts. I'm looking for any suggestions on finding a guided or semi-guided rifle hunt or guided archery hunt with 0 points. Has to have good success rates. Interested in Bull Elk, Moose, Bison, Solid Mule Deer Bucks, Whitetail Buck with 150-180" opportunities. Background: I don't have any hunts planned in 2025 or 2026. I am currently accumulating Elk and Deer points in WY and plan on doing Antelope there again. I have done Archery Elk OTC in Montana and Archery Elk/Black Bear in Idaho 3-4 times and gotten close to 3 bulls. I did a succesful DIY Antelope hunt in Wyoming in 2024 with a friend who lives out there. With all the draw lotteries and changing strategies, it can be overwhelming to navigate. Any help in figuring out what opportunities are available would be greatly appreciated.

Call 406-428-8156. Ask for Bill,

For Guided Archery, you should have about a 90%+ chance of drawing going in with 0 points if you buy the outfitter point in addition to yours at draw.

Anything else? Maybe a hot tub in camp? What’s your budget?
I don’t need a hot tub in camp! I’m mainly just looking to see what can be done in 2025 without points and have a decent chance and make some memories. A big moose is a bucket list hunt but I’m not ready to spend enough for that. I don’t have a set budget, that would depend on the animal. $1,500-$10,000 I don’t expect a moose hunt to be the same price as a whitetail. I’d be open to any of the lower 48 states or Canada. I’ve never done anything guided before.

You can shoot a ranch bison any time you want, probably not going to get a guided hunt without drawing a tag.

Moose in Canada is probably your best option, just find an outfitter. I don't think there's any landowner tags to be purchased.

Eastern Colorado outfitters kill big mule deer and whitetails. Tags are easy, you just have to buy the hunt.

There's a lot of outfitters in OTC units in Colorado for elk.

Landowner tags in New Mexico.

Pretty broad question...

You need to narrow things down. What kind of experience are you looking for? A wilderness experience? Is killing more important than the experience and location of the hunt? Wild places would be elk or moose. Moose with no points means north of the border so more money. Giant moose means even more money. Easier. and cheaper? Midwestern deer or antelope. Less physically demanding but not cheap eastern plains mule deer. Maybe exotics on a Hawaiian island? 😆 Yeah you need to narrow down your goals.
