I bought a Boyd's stock and DIP trigger guard and bottom metal. The set screw was too short and one of the wood screws stripped out very easily for my Savage FV-SR.

Boy, I'm relieved. When I read the thread heading, I was a little worried. I'm with GK, I would go to a parts store or a local hardware store.

Ace hardware (if you have one around) usually has a vast selection of hardware also. I'm going there all the time for 1 or 2 oddball screws for projects.

You could also stop at a bike shop. 8-32 is common on disc brake rotors, bottle racks etc. Might be allen hex but brakes are torx.

GP, thanks for the offer but I also found one at another hardware store last night. It is Allen and not Torx though. No worries. Thanks, guys.
