Looking for a nice scale

So not sure I can throw down the 7to 900$ on a Fx120i.

What are other options you guys have experience with?

Intellidropper can be bad for $200. I’ve been happy with mine.

It looks like its sold out tho. Im just getting started reloading so i have no experience with it yet, but i ordered an ohaus one off amazon for like $472 after seeing some good reviews

I also have a balance scale, i agree they're foolproof but i live in a floating home, so i cant really trust a balance scale in my situation since it moves a bit

How much precision are you after? If you want to shoot v. small groups at long range, you will need a scale that can weigh one kernel of 4350 type powder. Thats a FX120 or similar. If you don't need that kinda horsepower then there are many under $300 than will work fine. The charge masters are convenient but not very repeatable and they drift.

BTW...this new scale looks like great performance at a reasonable price. I have not tried one yet.

I bought a ChargeMaster years ago. Way better than using that beam scale for me.

Plenty of long range shooters out there loading with chargemasters. Watch Cortina's precision test, might surprise you.

I've never tried a electronic scale on a moving platform....but considering they are calibrated for static gravity the motion may affect the electronic as well since you are essentially altering the center of gravity with motion.

You are correct, i just tried it for the first time and this scale is so sensitive that the slightest movements of my house seems to screw with it pretty bad haha. I may have to move my reloading operation into my shop up in the parking lot, well at least the final 2 parts which i was hoping to avoid

I have tried this scale. Really like it.

also, Unknown Munitions has the fx120i for $550.

I would highly advise you against an intellidropper. I just returned my 3rd one that was having issues yesterday. I’m now running two RCBS chargemaster supremes and am very satisfied so far.

Have both a chargemaster and an RCBS 5-10 beam scale, use the beam scale to verify chargemaster loads about every 50th charge.
