There is a seekboutside revolution frame in the classifieds with a small belt and 24" stays that is a great price. I have a few bags for sale too (plug). There's also a website called dvor.com that has mystery ranch packs, cabinet and Marshall for great prices right now. I believe $300 and $400. Can't go wrong with Kifaru either.

As for customer service, In my limited experience, Kifaru is as good as it gets, I had to change a few things after making my order and they were super cool and very easy to deal with. On that note, My Fulcrum/frame is scheduled to arrive tomorow, a week ahead of the quoted 3 week wait time they wold me when I ordered it.

Because of them getting it to me a week early, Im going to have plenty of time to get it set up for this 7 day trip to the tetons and yellowstone Im going on with my wife, Ill be able to get some training with it and dial it in on a bunch of day hikes, this was my first Kifaru purchase but Ill be getting more stuff (sleeping bag, NAtive pocket, Water bottle pouch, tarp, etc).

Kifaru is the best in the world at making a hunting pack. I've packed out half an elk, bone in, a few times with mine. My new Mountain Warrior with the tactical frame will pack out more than my knees can stand. My 1998 Spike Camp, a 2300 cu in daypack, still is as good as new. And it's packed out a lot of meat.

Stone Glacier and Mystery Ranch are also good companies. But for me, every pack I own has a Rhino on it. I'll never change that.

That is the pack the gentleman is talking to me about that he has. Super great guy and helpful just not sure it's what I'm after by looks of it.

Thought guys?

I would just go with the EXO 3500 like you started out to. All you have to do is order it and your set. No need to customize, buy extra pouches, parts, lids, or call anybody to explain what your doing. Simple is way under rated. I haven't called EXO or S&S about the packs but because I haven't needed too but I have called about other stuff and they are most helpful.

Both Stone Glacier and Kifaru have great customer service, they are identical in my experience with both companies. Main advantage for Kifaru is the large selection of colors for your pack.

As a fellow eastern whitetail hunter, and a guy that also debones his deer and packs them out, I would suggest getting a pack with a load shelf so you can get the meat right next to your back. One must have for me with any bag, is horizontal compression straps, as they allow me to attach my lone wolfs to my pack with ease. I always carry my bow, and have my firearm in a gun bearer type accessory if using it rather than my bow. I'd rather carry my 6lb bow than my 15lb stand, so that's why I strap my stand to the pack.

TAG bags are great, their BOMB setup will easily handle a whitetail and cape.

Bottom line, either frame, SG or Kifaru will handle 120+lb loads and be "comfortable" for that amount of weight. Just decide which bag you like between the two companies and let that be your deciding factor.

I think I would rather have a bigger pack just in case

Then the 5500 will do it too. The 3500 is bigger than the 3500 cu in stated, I think its 4800 said and done. They don't count the side pockets or the front stretch pocket. The 5500 is closer to 7000 cu in. People camp in the backcountry over here for 5-7 days out of the 3500.

I'd like to see your pack with stand and sticks on it if you have any pics

Also can you specify what you mean by the BOMB setup? Thanks

Really I wasn't aware of that. I assumed it was total

The 5500 is gigantic. More than happy with my purchase. The new design features they made to the 2017 bag are perfect. The new hip belt is thicker and feels like a dream. If you go with an EXO, you'll be extremely happy. I was dead set on getting a Kifaru, but after extensive research, EXO was the clear winner for me.

The 3500 on the exo is that the main bag then them not counting the other pockets?

I was under the impression it was 3500 total plus meat shelf

The 3500 is just the bag itself. That does not include the lid, exterior pockets and load shelf area. It's more like 7000 ci. You could always get their Horn Hauler and attach it to the frame and add an extra 1500 ci. Very cool and versatile accessory.

kifaru frame is best I've used
i have a 2017 exo 3500 bag i purchased to check out, it is very nice. but i have a MW and emrII to compare it too and to me i like the way those packs are set up better.
the EMRII is just unlimited in its abilities,,, i like the new fulcrum but i think i like the mods I've seen a couple guys do with the EMRII better

it is a very nice bag though(EXO), i will probably try it out on my kifaru frame
