I’m looking for a sporter style/sporter weight 338 win mag, 338 RUM, 340 Weatherby or etc for a moose float hunt I booked. Not in need of a long range set up, looking more for a packer style gun (Nosler 48 outfitter, tikka big bore/t3, Weatherby mark V, Ruger guide/African, custom’s, etc). Zero interest in savages or heavy guns..

What is you max weight you will be willing to carry? I have a Ruger M77 in 338 WM i would part with. Shoots 250 partitions well under an inch. But its probably 9ish pounds with a 2-8 on it.

I’m actually selling my 338 WinMag ruger M 77 great gun and my 340 Weatherby also great gun I’ll send pictures to you tonight the reason why and the only reason why is because I just bought a 338 WinMag in a mark five Weatherby rifle I’ve always wanted that set up and yesterday was my birthday so I bought it thanks
