If you want more speed, go with the smaller cam. If you want a larger valley, go with the larger cam. The 2012-2014 Turbo models had the same cams as the regular models, just one inch less brace. I feel they had a great compromise on speed and forgiveness with the 35 ATA Vector Turbo being my favorite. By the sounds of it, you want to prioritize a smooth draw and good valley, so I would steer you towards any 2013+ 34 inch model with the number 2 cam like the Nitrum 34 or Carbon Spyder 34.

I have a 34" Spyder Turbo. The year before the Spyder carbons came out. It's a great bow. 28" draw, 65#s, #2 cam. I might be able to sell it. Let me know if you're interested..

i've got a line on a 2014 faktor turbo in my price range. specs are right on other than being 28" draw on a #3 cam instead of #2. it's an inch shorter on ATA but it's a much newer model than i thought i could afford. any thoughts on that model or things to look out for?

I have a vector turbo and matrix 31". I didnt like the short 31" and so i bought the vector turbo. Both shoot wonderfully I just wanted the longer axle to axle. The matrix is collecting dust in my closet if your interested? I can sell it fully outfitted and I think the strings are only a year old with minimal shots.

I think you will like it. The #3 cam at 28 inches will give you more valley than the #2 cam. Also, remember that DL specs are based on the wood pro fit or rubber 180 grips. Side plates or bare riser will increase the DL by about a 1/4 inch.

i have limited bow experience, but i shoot a 2014 Hoyt Carbon Spyder 34 and I really like it. you can get them cheap since everyone seems to be getting a new bow every year. im the type of guy who likes the latest and greatest and i haven't felt the need to upgrade. i love it.

I have only had used bows. All of them Hoyts. First was a ProTec. It was a great bow that got me interested in Archery. Second was an Alpha Max 32 that I really liked alot. It wasn't until the Vector 32 came out that I thought I may need to upgrade. In reality, I bought it brand new, although it was a 2012 that I bought early in 2014. I like it a lot too.

Stay with a high quality bow and you shouldn't have too many problems, at least problems that can't be corrected anyway.

Have fun and enjoy your bow whichever route you end up going.

I just picked up a 14' carbon spyder 34 off archerytalk. I was going to use it a back up for my Nitrum 34 but now not so sure, its a pretty sweet bow!

just to update.... I ended up buying a fully rigged out 2013 Spyder Turbo out of the AT classifieds for $450. I knew I wasn't going to use the accessories he had on it but he didn't want to sell bare bow. After I sell of the accessories I'll be out about $250 so you can't beat that. Bow was in perfect shape when I pulled it out of the box with brand new hogwire strings but as soon as i shot it i knew something wasn't right. The upside is that it gave me the push I needed to finally build a draw board and after a lot of reading and string twisting i've got it where it needs to be, and now i've taken my tuning abilities to the next level.

Sweet.
Congrats on the bow.
