I picked up a LH G2 legacy this winter. I used the videos to get everything adjusted to me. Found that my shoulders are kind of crooked, but was able to fine tune everything.
With spring kind of here, I've been out hiking and have found that this Kifaru pack acts like every other lumbar pack I've had: about 45 minutes after starting a hike the pack has slid down to the top of my cheeks. There it's putting pressure on the top of the right femur and my tail bone.
My 25 year old REI pack, MS Frostfire, and now this Kifaru all slide down my back after a few minutes if hiking. If the load is less than 30 lbs there is usually no issue in any of these packs. That will not work for hunting.
So, will a thinner lumbar pad resolve this? I have already up graded to flat back composite stays, which helped a lot. Previously the pack would slide down my back in a few minutes. The flat back stays extended that time to about 30 when it starts to slide. In 45 minutes its on top of my cheeks.
The belt is sucked up tight drawing my belly in deep U shape. The pack ends up hanging off the shelf that creates.
Sucks being fat. Any ideas and help is appreciated.
