I have two nice Rokslide approved scopes that meet your bill, NF SHV (I have the 3-10 but there’s other zooms that might better for you) and a Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-15 that I like a lot for dialing.

NF or Trijicon for sure. I have a couple of Burris XTR III, built like a tank, haven’t loss zero ever and track well. They’re on sale at euro optic for less than $1k

Despite what Form has said about the Helos 3-12 I and a couple of mates have been shooting them with no issue and I see them as the best scope in class

I picked up my Maven RS1.2’s for $860 when all was said and done.
How and where did you find this price and availability? They're selling out within hours of coming back into stock at MSRP of $1,200 on Maven's website.

For December they had 10% off gift cards + 10% cashback on ActiveJunky + discounted bundle pack (which I sold here). Came out to just shy of $860 after that.

They’ll do deals later in the year I’m sure.

Dang. I didn’t realize Maven did Active Junky.

Looking at one of the following: Seems like "just can't go wrong" but thought I'd bounce the list off here. It will be on my 6.5CM. Wonder what @Formidilosus would say ... hmm
  • Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44
  • Trijicon 2.5-15x42mm Credo HX SFP
  • SHV - 4-14x50mm F1 - ZeroSet - .1Mil - Mil-R - ILLUM
  • SWFA 3-15x42 SS
  • SWFA 3-9x42 SS HD

I'm gonna try a MIL reticle this time ... and am replacing a VX3

Anyone of those is a solid option. Toss a SB Klassic 3-12 P3L in for consideration as well (though over the $1k limit).

I have Zeiss, Meopta and other higher end scopes but the “best bang for the buck” for me has been an Athlon Helos BTR GenII 4-20x50. It is quite a bit under your budget but the Ares BTR GenII is closer to the top end of your budget. Call Cameraland and ask those folks!
