Can anyone tell me how this road is at the end of May first part of June? I head the road was getting bad and Idaho was making repairs. I am more interested in the snow issues.

You'll be able to access chunks of it, but there will be drifts you can't get through in order to drive the length of it. Drifts get worse the further east you are.

Well dang, I was hoping to access it from the east.

Towed some bear hunters out of a drift on the east side of it last spring in early June.

Worked on the Lochsa District for a few years and usually couldn't get up there till mid June at the earliest. Making over the snow banks in the morning is easy, afternoon not so fun unless you like shoveling snow.

Bring a chainsaw if you venture up that way.
