Drew a out of state tag for zone 3 plan on hunting the Loess Hills just wondering what the hunting pressure is like in the hills.

I hunt that area. Its not that bad. Sit all day and let the other hunters bump the deer to you.

Are you hunting archery or gun season? If the former you should be fine pressure-wise. If the latter, find a good (safe) vantage point that overlooks several criss-crossing trails and do what @Wolfmann said.

One word of advice, if hunting during gun season, try to get as far away from roads as possible. Unfortunately, road hunting can be prevalent and dangerous in some areas.

Public land around the area is pretty mellow until November. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is in the woods when the rut kicks in.
