It was the single greatest collaboration of memes with the most participants to date. Even the curmudgeonly Hunt Talk faithful were giving their flowers to the BOAL thread. At its peak it seemed to almost become self aware, and was as close to AI gaining its own consciousness that I have witnessed.

Ive seen him around in person a couple of times and he looks very "down." Just looks like a different dude altogether.
