Load shelf comparison?

Three strap compression goes a long way to control boned out loads and capes from spilling out awkwardly. That's a big part of what keeps me in Kifaru bags and away from other great packs on the market. I now use a cargo panel under my bag at all times for better control.

Thank you .

If you dont mind ... could you get a couple of days out of it ?? Say 3 with an alpine lid (or without) ???
I'm looking at a couple of packs (Woodsman , exo) and the Pintler caught my eye(close enough to your Longbow) and likely be the most useful for home but was wondering if it would do for a trip west for 3 nights or so ?

cheers (and apologies for the hijack)

That's actually my old man's pack but I've played around with it quite a bit. If you are ultra selective about lightweight minimalist gear, you could make it work with a lid for a few days. Those things I am not, so to me it's a great daypack and nothing more. I have the Metcalf, it cinches down just as small, just has a few more straps to tuck away, and I can easily get 5-7 days out if it with the alpine lid.
