Load dev after chopping barrel

Did a quick search here and on google and haven't found anything.

Chopped a couple rifle barrels down and am curious if I should redo load development from a safety stand point.

7wsm went from 28" to 23"
308 went from 26"-19"

Not from a safety standpoint but you will definitely have a poi shift. Your chamber pressure didn't change because you cut down the barrels, but the barrel harmonics and muzzle velocity sure did. The loads might need to be reworked for accuracy.

All the powder burns up in the first several inches, this just a old wives tale.

I've chopped several barrels and have not had to change loads.
